Debenhams’ Creative Director Patrick Duggan departs
Debenhams’ Creative Director Patrick Duggan is serving his last day in the role today, 30 September, posting on his LinkedIn page that’s "it’s time for a new adventure".
Duggan has been at Debenhams Group (previously Boohoo Group) for over five years, having started out as Creative Manager for Coast and Karen Millen in July 2020.
He later became Senior Creative Manager for Debenhams in February 2021 and was appointed as Creative Director in December 2024.
His message on LinkedIn today reads:
"Today is my last day working for the Debenhams (Boohoo) Group. After more than five years; starting on Karen Millen and Coast in the depths of Covid then moving on to Debenhams pretty much from day one of ownership - it's time for a new adventure.
"It's been an incredible half decade, working with some of the most talented and inspirational people I've ever met and, thinking back over my time, I'm so phenomenally proud and privileged to have been involved in so many career defining projects. I’ll always remember those years as the most rewarding and fun of my career so far. It really was an absolute blast.
"To the current leadership team, under the stewardship of Daniel Finley, taking the group in to the future; Sarah Gilchrist, Natalie Rose Allison, Matt Southall, Jon Till to name but a few, I wish you all a huge amount of success. With the drive and determination, I’ve witnessed first-hand since you all came in to the business there’s no doubt at all that the Debenhams Group will achieve even greater things than you already have."
It is unknown as yet as to who will be filling Duggan’s shoes in the Creative Director role at Debenhams.
Yesterday it was reported that Debenhams Group is making a major push in the US market, taking Coast, Warehouse, Oasis, Nasty Gal and Karen Millen stateside to sell through some of the biggest department stores in the market, including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.
