Marks & Spencer appoints Frasers Group CCO as new online boss
Frasers Group Chief Customer Officer David Clark will be joining Marks & Spencer from August as Director of Online, Omnichannel & Partnerships, reporting to John Lyttle, Managing Director of Clothing, Home & Beauty.
Clark brings years of experience in omnichannel customer strategy and execution to the new role, having most recently led the online platforms at Frasers, where he also launched a new online loyalty programme.
Clark started his career as a buyer at Arcadia before moving to ASOS. He later joined Zalando as Head of Buying and subsequently became General Manager for Digital at Selfridges.
The appointment of Clark is part of M&S’ strategic reset, aimed at bolstering its online and omnichannel strategy with the aim of generating 50% of sales from online in the future.
Clark's appointment is the most recent in a number of leadership shifts within the M&S Fashion, Home & Beauty team. Jon Rolls was appointed as Commercial & Operations Director in September 2025, alongside Jag Weatherley, who was appointed as Transformation Director and David James who joined from Boohoo as Supply Chain and Logistics Director.
They have joined Business Unit Directors Maddy Evans, who oversees Womenswear, Charlotte Davies, who leads Lingerie and Kids, Mitch Hughes, who leads M&S Man, and Sharry Cramond, who heads Marketing. Marks & Spencer Kidswear Director Alex Dimitriu left in February 2026 after six years at the retailer, having initially joined as Head of Buying for Menswear in 2020.
John Lyttle commented on the appointment: "We have brilliant people working across our Fashion, Home and Beauty team and I am pleased that we have bolstered the team further with a number of new appointments. Jon, Jag David and David bring deep experience and the right mix of skills to complement the existing talented team. Having the right team in place underpins our strategy as we reshape for future growth – as a team, we have a lot to do and together we are excited about the opportunities ahead."
