Daniel Arsham launches debut fashion label, Objects IV Life
American artist and sculptor Daniel Arsham has launched his new apparel line, Objects IV Life, creating “uniforms for a creative life.”
An extension of Arsham's artistic practice, the debut Chapter 001 collection comprises a series of functional basics, outerwear, footwear and accessories made from deadstock and sustainable materials, custom metal alloy trim and special patina washes.
Highlights of the collection include a Moleskin Shirt Jacket, Workwear Blazer, canvas rectangular tote, steel-toed utility boot, cap and key charm object, plus tees & hoodies.
The product of a joint vision with Stefano Martinetto, CEO and Co-Founder of Tomorrow, the brand's inaugural campaign was photographed in New York City at Arsham’s studio by Joshua Woods.
Arsham said in a statement: "Objects IV Life comprises foundation pieces intending to build a wardrobe of uniforms for a creative way of life. Designed between New York City and London, all garments are made in Portugal and Los Angeles with custom hardware coming from Italy.
"As I have been developing this first chapter I have started to understand this clothing in the same way I think about sculpture. It is much like alchemy. Objects IV Life is an evolving proof of concept, an endless work in progress, a tangible manifesto for change: you are the vehicle."
Stefano Martinetto, CEO and Co-Founder of Tomorrow added : "Objects IV Life is the product of a meeting of minds and a shared ambition between Daniel and myself to establish a brand that creates elevated workwear and accessories that are intended not for a single season, but for a lifetime."
The collection will be available from 11 July at retailers including KITH NYC and Paris, Machine-A London and Shanghai, SSENSE, Selfridges London, IT Hong Kong, Maxfield LA and Simple Caracters Mykonos.
