Customisable Mon Purse collection arrives at Selfridges

Mon Purse, the customisable accessories collection launched by Australian entrepreneur and e-commerce expert Lana Hopkins in 2014, will make its debut in Selfridges from today.

The affordable luxury collection enables customers to create a completely bespoke piece from a selection of modern classic designs using online 3D modelling software.

More than 6bn customisation options are available, from premium European leathers, colours, linings, metal hardware and personalised monogramming. Customers will be able to see immediately what their final product will look like through 3D rendering.

Mon Purse, which is also available online, claims colour matching is "precise and realistic" and roaming iPads and design booths will also allow Selfridges customers to "immerse themselves in the Mon Purse journey" in-store.

Hopkins said she was proud to launch the concession in Selfridges, which she described as a "global leader in the world of retail". "They take great pride in bringing the shopping experience to life; immersing and engaging every customer with their beautiful displays and theatrical atmosphere. When you walk into the Selfridges store, you really feel completely transported; it felt like the perfect fit for Mon Purse," she said.

Caroline Fielder, contemporary accessories buyer at Selfridges said personalisation was at the centre of the Selfridges service offer. "We embrace Lana Hopkins’ vision of combining innovation with the very best of craftsmanship. We are very excited to partner with Mon Purse, and be the first retailer to allow customers to monogram, customise and design one-of-a-kind bags and create a truly personal product," Fielder said.

The Mon Purse range comprises small leather goods for travel (luggage tags, wallets, passport holders), evening events (clutch bags, pouches), and the every day (handbags, purses, key rings). Prices range from £40 to £480.
