Crombie suspends all retail and wholesale operations
British heritage menswear brand Crombie has suspended all retail, wholesale and administrative operations until further notice, as a direct consequence of COVID-19.
Crombie announced the suspension of services on its website, confirming in a statement: "In light of current world events, we have now fully suspended our retail, wholesale and supporting administrative operations until further notice. We will continue to monitor the global situation and hope to resume operations in the fullness of time. We’d like to thank our many clients for their custom and patronage and wish everyone a safe and healthy summer."
The company has only one retail location, 48 Conduit Street in London, and normally operates from this store and online.
Founded in 1805, Crombie is renowned for creating their signature three-quarter-length overcoat style.
In 2014, attention for one Crombie's signature jackets increased two-fold due to the popularity of Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who.
