Crocs unveils futuristic ‘Ripple’ silhouette in new design era

Crocs is launching a new futuristic silhouette called the ‘Ripple’ on 6 March, “marking a major design moment for the brand”.

The new design has been conceived by Steven Smith, who was named Crocs’ Head of Creative Innovation in November 2024, along with his team.

The Crocs Ripple is described as “a bold new embodiment of Crocs’ moulded design vision”, signalling the start of a bigger design movement where function, style and innovation converge.

Smith has more than 40 years’ experience in footwear, having previously held roles at Nike, Adidas, New Balance and Yeezy, and the Ripple is his first major new design silhouette for Crocs.

Smith said: “What I’ve been doing is giving the company a more futuristic outlook for what Crocs can be, especially in terms of new construction ideas like the Ripple. The future can be something different but still has that thread of Crocs DNA - and where the brand came from - woven into the structure.”

The Crocs Ripple silhouette represents the next wave of Crocs’ design story, providing a glimpse into where the brand is headed as it explores moulded footwear in fresh and innovative ways.

Bold and impossible to miss, the Ripple is already sparking conversations within footwear culture, opening the door to new opportunities to shape the world of sneakers.

The Crocs Ripple will be available from 6 March at crocs.co.uk and the Crocs App, and will retail for £90. Additional colourways and styles will launch over the next 18 months.
