The entry deadline for Critizr’s ‘Proud of My Store’ awards has been extended to 31 July to give more stores and their heroic front-line retail workers the chance to participate.
Designed to celebrate the outstanding customer service delivered by stores and their employees during the Covid-19 pandemic, the awards will see one business crowned as the ‘Proudest Store 2021.’
The winning store will also receive a luxury hamper for its whole team and £300 towards its chosen charity.
Nearly 150 entries from across the UK are already featured on the competition website, from nationwide fashion and beauty retailers including New Look, Bonmarché and Boots stores to small independent boutiques, beauty salons and cafés.
All include tales of dedication, community spirit and customer service that went “above and beyond” during the pandemic.
Entries are to be judged by a prestigious panel of industry experts including TheIndustry.fashion Co-founder & CPO Antony Hawman and British Retail Consortium Chief Executive Helen Dickinson OBE, with others still to be revealed.
With momentum building for the competition, Critizr was keen to extend the entry deadline, Critizr UK Head of Marketing Hazel Morton said.
“I think #proudofmystore has struck a chord with retail teams and we’ve been humbled by the time and effort many people have taken to tell us their incredible stories, all of which are posted on the competition website.”
“There are tales of store teams working hard in their communities to support vulnerable customers; of service with a smile when business models were being turned upside down behind the scenes; and of sheer hard work and determination to keep serving shoppers through the most difficult times imaginable.
“It has made us extremely proud to read them and be able to share them with a wider audience.
“For businesses that haven’t yet entered, there’s now time to share your ‘store story’ with us and celebrate the pride you have in your own team,” Morton added.
