Crew Clothing signs golfer Todd Clements as new brand ambassador

Lifestyle brand Crew Clothing, which was founded in the back of a Salcombe windsurfing shop in 1993, has signed up-and-coming professional English golfer Todd Clements as its new ambassador.

The deal will see rising star Clements wear the brand’s new golf collection at every tournament this year, and he’ll also be featured in Crew Clothing campaigns and product launches, as well as on his social media channels and TV appearances.

As a partner to the Legends Tour, Crew Clothing shot Clements in the brand’s golf line – designed for ultimate performance on the golf course – at Wentworth Golf Club, arguably the most prestigious course in Britain.

Crew Clothing says it has selected Clements because he is “charismatic, talented and progressive” as well as being “a natural fit for the brand”.

At 26, Clements has already racked up numerous golfing trophies. He was set on his exciting journey after winning the English Amateur Championship in 2017, and a professional victory followed in 2018 at the Saudi Open. That was closely followed in 2019 by winning the PGA Europro Tour Championship in 2019.

Clements has also now secured a spot for the 2022 European Challenge Tour, something which clearly caught the eye of Crew Clothing’s Brand Director, Georgina Clark.

Clark said: “Todd is going from strength to strength on the course and we wanted to help him secure many more trophies with our performance collection.

“He’s one to watch and we’re extremely proud to be on that journey with him. He’s also a really nice guy – a perfect addition to the Crew family.”

Clements added: “I’m delighted to be a Crew ambassador. The brand’s dedication to technical innovation aligns with my goals and I’m looking forward to putting the collection through its paces on courses all over the world.

“I’ll be wearing Crew every day – for all golf activities – from my local club in Colchester to tournaments as far flung as the Caribbean.”

The signing comes as Crew Clothing continues its commitment to some of the best in British sport. Over the past three years, the brand has been building an impressive portfolio of premium sports partners, including Henley Royal Regatta, Williams Racing, premiership rugby club Exeter Chiefs and the Lawn Tennis Association.

This year, the brand highlighted its partnerships across numerous activations, including licensed collections, onsite pop-up shops and online promotions. Now it seeks to celebrate the talent that’s pushing certain sports forward with a roster of ambassador programmes, so there will be more to come.

Crew Clothing’s golf collection is currently available to purchase from the brand’s website and the new collection, as featured on Clements, will go live on the site from August 2022.
