Crew Clothing commits to bricks-and-mortar with new HQ and 20 store openings

British lifestyle brand Crew Clothing, founded in Salcombe in 1993, is moving from its head office in Earlsfield in South West London to Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey.

The brand’s new 32,000 sq ft HQ, described as a "significant investment", will be at The Drapery on Kingston Hall Road, a building which has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment.

The relocation, which is happening in early April, follows on from recent reports from Crew Clothing of 17% like-for-like Q4 sales results, and an announcement to open 20 further stores in 2025. It already operates 100 stores in the UK, as well as its e-commerce website.

Crew Clothing HR Director, Rupert Hay, said: "We’re so excited to be entering this new chapter for Crew Clothing. What started as a collection of rugby shirts, sold out of a shop in Salcombe, has expanded and grown into a thriving business, creating new jobs and opportunities across the UK.

"The move is a major milestone for Crew Clothing and paves the way for further development in the years ahead. We’re looking forward to calling the Kingston office home."

Crew Clothing will occupy three of the six floors of The Drapery, with the remaining three (circa 17,000 sq ft) floors still being offered on the rental market.

Hay added: "The new headquarters demonstrates a continued commitment to invest in our bricks-and-mortar portfolio. The Drapery offers real opportunity, with additional space available for lease by other brands looking to establish a base in the area."
