Covent Garden is to welcome a raft of new stores in the coming months including a new concept store from Jigsaw, which will fill the space left by its designer multi-brand boutique The Shop at Bluebird.

Jigsaw confirmed earlier this week that The Shop at Bluebird, which initially began life on the King's Road 15 years ago, would be closing its doors having moved into the striking location of Carriage Hall on Floral Street in 2018.

The new Jigsaw store, which will be an upsize from the brand's existing Covent Garden store, will open in February in the Grade II listed building, landlord Capco has confirmed.

Joining Jigsaw in Covent Garden will be premium accessories brands Lulu Guinness and Strathberry, which will open on King Street and in the Market Building respectively this spring. Additionally French premium basics brand American Vintage will arrive in the summer. Fellow French label A.P.C. opened on Floral Street in December.

As well as the fashion openings Italian restaurant Big Mamma is set to open in the area while the Henrietta Hotel will launch an additional 22 rooms this summer.

Finally travel money specialist ChangeGroup will open a new lounge located on Russell Street, offering currency exchange as a well as cash VAT refunds for shoppers from outside the EU. This new service hub will be the first of its kind in London’s West End to offer tax refunds from all existing service providers.
