COTTWEILER: LCM AW16 Menswear Review

David Watts
14 January 2016

COTTWEILER look to a dystopian civilisation for the AW16 season and examine the conflict of marrying man-made and organic materials. Natural fibres are encased in tinted cellophane.  Thermal, moisture wicking layers are embellished with wheat straws. Waterproofed shearling is both functional and protective.

As part of the BFC's NEWGEN Men, the design duo Matthew Dainty and Ben Cottrell are continuing their journey to push boundaries for casual sportswear, and the new "athleisure" product classification.

In addition to producing seasonal collections stocked worldwide, COTTWEILER produce films and installations, which have been showcased at The Institute of Contemporary Arts London, Haus Der Kunst Munich and Alison Jacques Gallery London.
