H&M owned COS and Monki are set to open new stores in Bristol's Cabot Circus shopping complex ahead of Christmas, marking the brands' debuts in the South West region.

COS, which launched in 2007 and offers a more sophisticated and modern take on classics and wardrobe essentials, will take a 548sqm store in Quakers Friars, a piazza in the grounds of Cabot Circus.

The new store will be set against the historic backdrop of a 13th century Dominican Friary building and will count premium global brands including Hugo Boss and Michael Kors as neighbours.

Monki’s new 344sqm store will be the brand’s second store in the UK (the first is on London’s Carnaby Street). The street-style young fashion brand has taken a double height shop front located on Concorde Street.

“It is a great result for Cabot Circus, as well as for shoppers in the South West that these exciting international retailers have selected the centre to make their debuts,” said Hammerson UK Commercial Director Iain Mitchell.

Cabot Circus was opened in 2008 is jointly owned and operated by Hammerson on behalf of the Bristol Alliance. It counts Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser as anchor tenants.
