Conscious brand Millican introduces "Re-Home Your Bag" project

Millican has introduced the "Re-Home Your Bag" project, aiming to re-purpose unwanted bags to help those in need.

Conscious brand Millican have been creating sustainable bags for travellers for the last 11 years. The "Re-Home Your Bag" project supports social projects and communities locally and globally and in return, customers receive a 5% discount for homeofmillican.com for helping the cause.

Co-Founder Jorrit Jorritsma said: “Everyone seems to have an old, well-used rucksack or travel bag languishing in their garage or loft. Still very practical, you just can’t seem to let go of them. The ‘Re-Home’ project allows you to pass your old travel companion on to someone who really needs it, to start a new adventure.

"As well as giving back to the community, we’re always considering different ways of increasing a product’s life-span and how we can take responsibility for its afterlife. The Re-Home Your Bag project is an important part of this ongoing process of learning, sharing and innovating for a better future.”

How it works:

  • Email [email protected] with your full name to receive their Freepost address.
  • Send them your bag(s). They can be any brand, they don’t have to be Millican bags. (T&Cs apply)
  • The team will sort, repair and re-home your bag, all from Millican HQ.
  • Once your bag has been allocated to one of the social projects they’re working with, Millican will let you know, so you can see your bags journey full circle.

Millican has already partnered with social projects such as The Calvert Trust, Action for Conservation and the Bristol Bike Project, who are all ready and waiting to receive pre-loved bags and introduce them to a new home.

“We are always searching for new partners and are very happy for charities or non-profit organisations to get in touch with us at [email protected] to discuss how we can work together going forward.”
