US luxury brand Coach has opened the doors of its South East regional debut store at Kent leisure and shopping destination Bluewater.

The 1,750 sq ft store is located on Lower Guildhall adjacent to House of Fraser, and features a modern luxury interior designed by an in-house team. Leather furniture and bespoke fittings showcase the brand's full range of men’s and women’s products and are designed to provide a "seamless, premium customer journey".

Coach is the latest in a string of international brands to opt to open stores at the centre. Last month US jewellery brand Alex and Ani opened its first UK store at Bluewater and Coach's sister brand Kate Spade is due to open a store, which will be its first UK standalone store outside of London, by the end of the year.

President of Coach Europe, Catherine Levesque said of the opening: “Coach is delighted to open our doors at Bluewater. The opening has been extremely successful and we look forward to continuing this performance into the festive season and provide a modern luxury experience to shoppers.”

Russell Loveland, Portfolio Director at Landsec, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater, added: “We are always looking to drive our premium offer to appeal to the affluent catchment. The openings of Coach and kate spade new york launching late this year, in addition to Alex and Ani, significantly enhance Bluewater’s overall line-up of leading national and international retailers and further strengthen Bluewater’s position as Europe’s leading retail and leisure destination.”

Earlier this month Coach also opened a regional flagship at Birmingham's Bullring.
