Principal partner of London Fashion Week, Clearpay, has released its Bi-Annual Fashion & Beauty Trend Report. The report identifies key shopping patterns from Clearpay's two million UK users, along with popular styles purchased during London Fashion Week.

Clearpay’s partnership with London, Australia and New York Fashion Weeks allowed the buy now pay later platform to strengthen its position as a global source of fashion inspiration and support for brands, as key trends from the runways influenced sales for Clearpay’s retailers.

The report found that during London Fashion Week, sales of flats increased by 25% as a result of the latest styles by Molly Goddard and Matty Bovan on the catwalks. Block heels also saw sales increase by 4240% and high top sneakers purchases rose by 2504%.

Gen-Z led the charge in reviving nostalgic looks from the 90s and ‘noughties’, with trends filtering down from TikTok to the high street. Data shows cargo pants, halter tops, skorts and bodycon all ranked high in popularity, with trucker hats, mini bags and rimless glasses also topping the list.

The report also found that Britons are exploring new ways to get creative with comfort dressing, infusing PJ style into their daytime outfits and pyjama silhouettes into evening ‘going out’ looks.

Clearpay shows that period dressing-inspired milkmaid dresses, similar to that seen in Bridgerton, has risen in popularity. Data saw an increase in sales of voluminous silhouettes, frilly details and corsets all confirming that Netflix has a big influence on style at present.

Collections such as KNWLS, which is part of The Clearpay Collective initiative, featured a muted colour palette of browns and nudes. This influenced Clearpay shopping trends, with brown and camel coloured items increasing in sales during London Fashion Week.
