Clarks Originals launches new collaboration with Liam Gallagher
Following the sell-out success of its 2022 collaboration with Liam Gallagher, Clarks Originals has reimagined another archive silhouette with the Oasis frontman, this time the ‘Desert Rain’ which originally launched in the early 2000s.
The new collaboration comes as Clarks celebrates its 200th anniversary. A short documentary film, in which Gallagher talks of his 90s obsession with Clarks Originals, was released last month.
In the film, Gallagher said: "I wore Clarks all the way through the 90s. I don’t think there is any other (shoe) brand for me, really. I find it hard to even look at other brands - Clarks have never let me down."
Gallagher’s past collaboration with Clarks Originals came about in 2022 after the singer took to Twitter to urge the brand to bring back its iconic, but discontinued, ‘Rambler’ silhouette. The brand got in touch, the collaboration came about and the shoe "sold out in minutes".
The Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals ‘LG Desert Rain’ will go on general release on 20 March, retailing at £140 and available from the Clarks website, in selected Clarks stores and through exclusive stockists.
However, fans will have the opportunity to purchase the limited-edition shoes one day early (tomorrow, 19 March) from the Clarks Originals store at 32 Berwick Street in London’s Soho and its store at 56 King Street in Manchester.
