Clarks joins children's resale marketplace Dotte

Clarks has announced a partnership with children's resale marketplace Dotte, allowing shoppers to earn rewards for selling outgrown Clarks shoes on the platform.

Dotte allows UK consumers to buy, sell, donate and recycle outgrown children's clothing and shoes. The company's pre-loved offering is made up of 16 independent and sustainably-minded childrenswear brands, alongside major retailers including M&S and Clarks.

Under the new partnership, the resale platform allows consumers to sell outgrown Clarks shoes. Once sold, the seller will be gifted with a 15% online discount code for Clarks’s new collections as a thank you for keeping the item in circulation.

The partnership follows Clarks's recently launched sustainability platform, Every Move Matters. This initiative includes a Sustainability Advisory Panel of environmental experts to help advise the footwear brand on its strategy, plans and the execution of global sustainability.

Tara McRae, Global Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at Clarks, said: “We’re excited to partner with Dotte as we continue our journey towards being more environmentally conscious. We hope this partnership will give many pairs of Clarks shoes a second life and encourage more families to buy pre-loved clothing."

Samantha Valentine, Co-founder of Dotte, added: “We are very excited to welcome Clarks to our resale collective. Clarks is highly trusted by parents when it comes to taking care of their little ones’ growing feet. Having them on board will help us educate people on how to ensure good fit and keep their kid’s feet healthy when shopping second hand."
