Christopher Raeburn, recently appointed as global creative director of Timberland, has taken on his brother Graeme Raeburn as performance director of his own brand.

Famous for its "Remade, Reduced, Recycled" design ethos, the Christopher Raeburn brand is fast approaching its 10-year anniversary. Graeme Raeburn joins the brand after 10 years at Rapha, the world leading performance cycling brand where, during his tenure, Graeme worked across men’s, women’s and accessories in his role as lead designer.

He says: “Christopher Raeburn is a tremendously exciting and dynamic brand. What my brother, Christopher, and his team have achieved in 10 years is nothing short of incredible, and I am thrilled to join the team at this exciting stage of the business. I'm excited to combine expertise in materials, products, and fabrication with sustainable and responsible design practices.”

Christopher Raeburn’s Timberland appointment will see his time split 50/50 between his own brand and Timberland, so the appointment of his brother is timely. Graeme Raeburn’s challenge is to bring a greater emphasis to material innovation and performance and functionality within each product.

On being joined in the business by his brother, Christopher said: “It’s a real coup for us to bring someone of Graeme’s calibre into our business, and we are excited to bring our collective design approaches and truly fuse fashion and function as we enter the next chapter of the business."

Christopher Raeburn will be showcasing its next collection at London Fashion Week Men's followed by Pitti Uomo in Florence and MAN in Paris through January 2019.
