Childrensalon appoints ex-Crew Clothing Director as Chief Customer Officer

British childrenswear retailer Childrensalon has named former Crew Clothing Trading Director Cathy Carrington Birch as its new Chief Customer Officer.

Carrington Birch joined the retailer in her new position in May, after three years of leading her own consulting firm.

For Birch, who started her career at the now-dissolved Arcadia Group, this is not the first time she has stepped into the role of chief customer officer. She previously held the position for three years at Long Tall Sally and for three years at Charles Tyrwhitt.

Prior to this, she also spent four years at Boden, where her latest position was Product Director for Womens, Mens & Childrenswear.

In her LinkedIn profile, Carrington Birch notes that she has a "passion for driving sustainable business practices" and has previously focused on fostering "high-performance teams" to cultivate "a customer-centric and adaptable commercial environment".

Childrensalon was founded in 1952 in Kent and today remains a family-owned British online retailer that specialises in luxury childrenswear from over 240 designers, including Gucci and Burberry. Today, the company has over 500 employees and ships to 170 countries.
