Charles Tyrwhitt reveals England cricket legend Stuart Broad as new brand ambassador
British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt has revealed former England cricket great Stuart Broad as its newest brand ambassador.
Broad, who retired from cricket in 2023 but now commentates on the sport, is fronting a new campaign highlighting the versatility of Charles Tyrwhitt’s bestselling linen collection, which this year boasts its widest-ever range of colours and styles - including 100% linen polos.
Broad is the latest sportsman to partner with Charles Tyrwhitt, following in the footsteps of fellow England cricketer Joe Root, and rugby union stars of old and new, Matt Dawson and Marcus Smith.
Joe Irons, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Charles Tyrwhitt, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Stuart Broad as our latest brand ambassador. We’ve been huge fans of him throughout his legendary cricket career and have loved watching his evolution into a modern role model.
"Aside from his many sporting legend credentials, Broad’s personal style aligns perfectly with our brand - he looks great in our clothes, and he perfectly embodies the values we stand for at Charles Tyrwhitt. We can’t wait for everyone to see his first 2025 campaign and all that’s to come."
Broad added: "I am really looking forward to representing Charles Tyrwhitt as a brand ambassador. As a long-time customer and fan, this partnership feels like a natural step for me.
"The collection offers something for every occasion in my life, whether it's dressing casually for everyday moments as a dad or wearing a sharp suit for an event, Charles Tyrwhitt makes it effortless to dress well."
In December 2024, Charles Tyrwhitt opened its 50th store at the Westquay Shopping Centre in Southampton. However, at the end of January 2025 Charles Tyrwhitt founder, Nick Wheeler, who owns 95% of the business, said he was going to cut investment in the UK due to the Labour Government’s "anti-business" polices.
Wheeler told The Telegraph that policies such as the National Insurance changes and minimum wage increases are pushing him to focus on overseas expansion instead.
While he did admit that Charles Tyrwhitt will still open "a handful" of stores in the UK this year, the focus for retail expansion will be more geared towards markets including the US, Australia and Germany.
