Charles Tyrwhitt opens 10th new store in 18 months with first in Belfast
British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt has opened its first store in Northern Ireland at Erskine House on the corner of Arthur Street and Chichester Street in Belfast, its 10th new opening in 18 months.
The new store, which comes hot off the heels of the opening of the brand’s Cheltenham store on 14 August, is carrying Charles Tyrwhitt's signature formalwear and smart casualwear, ranging from shits, shirts, knitwear, shoes and accessories. One-to-one styling appointments are also available.
Having made advances with its ongoing commitment to climate positive projects, the store also features the brand’s shirt and suit recycling scheme, rewarding customers who bring in old shirts and suits - ‘Tyrwhitt or not’– with discounts.
In April 2024, Charles Tyrwhitt, which was founded by entrepreneur Nick Wheeler in Bristol in 1986, opened its new flagship store at 218 Regent Street in London – set over two floors in a fully renovated grade-listed building.
That replaced the old Charles Tyrwhitt location at 90 Regent Street and marked the brand’s eighth new store in just over a year, with others located on London’s Cannon Street, Victoria, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Reading, Chelmsford and Bristol.
This latest opening in Belfast brings the brand’s global store count to 72 in total, with plans for a further five before the end of the year.
Joe Irons, CMO at Charles Tyrwhitt, said: "In a time when the high street needs a real boost, we can’t wait to open our first store in Northern Ireland and show a new customer base what Charles Tyrwhitt has to offer. We hope that we impress both locals and tourists alike with our wide range of products and impressive new retail space.
"A space like this really does lend itself well to a whole experience and we’re looking forward to showing the people of Belfast that Charles Tyrwhitt offers unparalleled customer service experience and great products."
