Charity Super.Mkt, the “department store for second-hand style”, is expanding with the launch of a brand new warehouse and pop-up space at the O2 Centre on Finchley Road in north-west London, opposite Aldi and Soho Coffee.

Founded by Wayne Hemingway and Maria Chenoweth in 2023, Charity Super.Mkt sales have reached £5 million as pre-loved fashion continues to grow.

Wayne Hemingway said: “It is through the generosity of landlords like Landsec and O2 Centre that Charity Super.Mkt continues to be able to take temporary unused spaces and turn them into total positivity, joy, and environmental and social value.”

Tomorrow, 11 April, to coincide with the start of Earth Month, Charity Super.Mkt will host a three-tier sale at its new warehouse, giving visitors the chance to bag a sack full of “sustainable steals”.

For one day only, shoppers will be able to browse a wide range of pre-loved fashion, with prices starting at just £7 when doors open at 10am, dropping to £5 after 12pm, and falling as low as £1 after 3pm - or an entire bag for £5.

Then, on Thursday 7 May, under the working title of ‘Fashion with Compassion’, Charity Super.Mkt will host upcycling workshops (from 10am - 4pm), offering guests practical tips and tricks for revamping beloved garments. The workshops can be booked via the Charity Super.Mkt website.

In addition, a specially curated capsule collection will also be available to shop, showcasing creative, conscious fashion, with exclusive discounts for students.

Shoppers can expect a mix of premium and high street labels, with standout brands including Armani, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Ralph Lauren and Reiss up for grabs.

There will also be a line-up of sportswear brands such as Adidas, Nike and Sweaty Betty, plus a curated selection of vintage pieces, giving visitors the chance to discover unique, one-of-a-kind finds alongside some of the most sought-after names in fashion.

The new space at the O2 Centre will play a key role in processing items and distributing them to Charity Super.Mkt stores across the UK, including Glasgow, Brighton, Sheffield and London’s Spitalfields, while generating vital income to support charitable causes.

Ant Foran, Centre Director at O2 Centre, said: “Demand for pre-loved fashion continues to grow year on year, and Charity Super.Mkt has already proven itself as an exciting and successful concept across the UK.

“Its ethos strongly aligns with our commitment to becoming a more sustainable retail destination, so we’re thrilled to welcome the team to the O2 Centre.

“As a centre, we’re proud to support local charities and community initiatives and bringing in a popular, multi-charity retail concept like this - alongside a programme of exclusive, one-off events - is a fantastic addition for both our visitors and our wider community.”
