Castore strengthens England Cricket ties with new One Day International kit

Sportswear brand Castore has firmed up its partnership with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) with the launch of the official England Cricket One Day International (ODI) kit today.

The ODI collection, designed by Castore in collaboration with England Cricket players from the men’s, women’s and disability teams, features a bespoke design with a geometric print. The neon pattern is inspired by the sloped seating of some of the most iconic grounds in England cricket.

Cricket players such as Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jos Buttler from the men’s team, Katie George and Fran Wilson from the women’s team and Chris Edwards of the learning disability team were integral to the design process.

The kit was designed to enhance performance and ease of movement, with fabrics that Castore uses across the highest level of its sportswear.

For the first time, England supporters will be able to purchase the Pro Kit worn by the players on the pitch. Crafted from a high-stretch, recycled poly elastane blend, the shirts also feature underarm mesh panelling and laser-cut holes for enhanced ventilation during play, with a focus on sportswear technology and innovation.

Pascal Lafitte, Partnerships Director at Castore, said: “The main aim of this partnership was to create a range of sportswear driven by innovation to enhance performance on the pitch.

“This ODI kit is a summation of these efforts. A kit for the players and the fans that represents Castore and ECB’s shared spirit and passion for excellence.”
