On June 4th, ambassadors from ocean conservation organisation Project 0 including Jo Wood, Tyrone Wood, Will Poulter, Pixie Geldof and Clara Paget, gathered on Carnaby Street ahead of World Oceans Day to raise awareness of the urgent need to protect the ocean.
On Saturday 8 June, people will be able to celebrate World Oceans Day with a host of activities in Carnaby, in partnership with Project 0. A celebration for eco-conscious & ocean-enthusiasts alike, expect live music, talks, ocean-themed artwork and installations, as well as appearances from Project 0’s ambassadors.

Taking place during Soho Music Month, visitors can relax in a festival setting on Carnaby’s Ganton Street, complete with a ‘grass’ lawn, bean bags, photo booth, free ice lollies and live music from 12-6pm. Books by ocean photographer Ben Thouard will also be available to purchase as well as exclusive Salt-T t shirts from iconic rockstar Slash.

The brand-new limited edition Carnaby X Project 0 tote bags featuring environmentally themed artwork from six eco-conscious and influential designers can also be purchased on the day. The reusable bags are printed on recycled cotton canvas and feature striking aesthetics that depict the ocean and address the environmental impact on marine life.

Bags cost £15, with 100% of funds raised from the sale of the bags going to conservation work in the Thames. The tote bags are also available to buy at weareprojectzero.org.
