Capezio selects Bleckmann to support ‘next phase of European expansion’

Dancewear giant Capezio has chosen supply chain expert Bleckmann, which specialises in logistics services for fashion and lifestyle brands including Superdry, Gymshark and Blakely, to support its expansion across European markets.

After more than 30 years of fulfilling orders to EU markets from the UK, Capezio, a globally renowned dance footwear, apparel and accessories brand with over 140 years of heritage and a long-standing store at 37 Endell Street in London’s Covent Garden, was looking for a specialised solution that could deliver a faster, more consistent fulfilment experience.

As such, Bleckmann will be Capezio’s third-party logistics (3PL) provider for warehousing and distribution due to its extensive carrier network, dedicated category expertise and scalable capacity – providing the strategic agility for future growth.

Arron Delamare, Director of Operations at Capezio, said: “We’re not only closer to our customers, but we can also provide a more tailored service through Bleckmann’s ‘Local Heroes’ last-mile concept.

“This gives us access to the best fit carrier per region with one contract and point of contact, so we can offer the best service levels across the board.”

Maxim Sion, Sales Manager at Bleckmann, commented: “The Capezio partnership demonstrates the simplicity gained by working with one partner. It unlocks a better experience for customers and frees the team to focus on growth.”

With a catalogue of around 40,000 SKUs, Capezio operates with considerable product complexity, so finding a partner equipped to handle that from day one was a priority.

Delamare added: “Because of Bleckmann’s unparalleled expertise, their systems and ways of working already mirrored what we needed. Whether it’s managing complex individual order combinations or efficiently dealing with waving for seasonal specific stock and peak demand, we were able to hit the ground running with all the tools required.”

Bleckmann signing Capezio to help it deliver European growth follows last month’s announcement that Australian swimwear and apparel brand Kulani Kinis has also selected the supply chain expert for the European market. Bleckmann is now providing warehousing, order fulfilment and returns processing from its facility in Venlo, the Netherlands, marking Kulani Kinis’ first ever logistics operation based on European soil.

Last month also saw Bleckmann expand its UK footprint with a huge new distribution centre (DC) in Lutterworth in the East Midlands. Set over 420,000 square metres (4,520,824.4 sq ft), the new DC adds to Bleckmann’s already extensive operational footprint in the UK, with other locations in Swindon, Bury St Edmunds, Burton-on-Trent, Crick and Corby.

The new “multi-client space”, which measures 70,786 sq m (761,932 sq ft), will be fully operational as of July 2026, marking a significant milestone for Bleckmann’s growing lifestyle logistics offering.
