Canada Goose to open first store in Scotland

Canada Goose has today announced the opening of its first store in Scotland, set to open Autumn 2021, following the launch of two new stores in Germany this year.

The two-floor space has been designed to combine the essence of Canada Goose with the tradition of Scottish craftsmanship; using noble materials inspired by nature and bespoke furniture handcrafted using Harris Tweed by Richard England of Glencairn Furniture.

The Scottish store will offer a broad assortment of over 300 seasonal items built for Edinburgh’s climate, including rainwear, windwear, lightweight down and premium knitwear for men, women and children, as well as cold weather apparel designed to shelter from the elements.

Edinburgh will offer many of Canada Goose’s latest collections plus classic heritage styles, including the Chilliwack Bomber, originally designed to outfit pilots in the Artic, and the Mystique Parka, a go-to style for talent seeking warmth between takes on film sets – both the brand’s most iconic pieces.

Collaboration pieces and product from exclusive and limited-edition launches will also be available seasonally.

Pat Sherlock, President EMEA, Canada Goose, said: “We’re proud to open our first Canada Goose store in Edinburgh, a vibrant city surrounded by green spaces ideal for exploring. In this new space, guests will learn what our promise to inspire and enable all people to thrive in the world outside truly means. We look forward to connecting with the local community, telling our brand story directly and providing an unfiltered and premium experience to Scotland’s urban adventurers.”

Canada Goose currently operates in over 30 stores across three continents, with each premier location weaving together the brand’s authentic Canadian heritage.

Last month, Canada Goose announced its commitment to end the use of all fur in its products. Announcing the move, President and CEO Dani Reiss said: “Our focus has always been on making products that deliver exceptional quality, protection from the elements, and perform the way consumers need them to; this decision transforms how we will continue to do just that.

"We continue to expand – across geographies and climates – launching new categories and products designed with intention, purpose and functionality. At the same time, we are accelerating the sustainable evolution of our designs.”
