Canada Goose to open European flagship on Regent Street

Canada Goose will open its first European flagship on London's Regent Street this autumn.

The store will be the outdoor brand's largest to date and will feature the broadest assortment of seasonal collections and exclusive collaborations. It will also include Canadian design elements such as marble quarried in British Columbia and will offer shoppers the opportunity to "engage and learn more about the company’s 60-year history".

As well as the Regent Street store the brand, which specialises in luxury down-filled, fur-trimmed coats and jackets, will open a store on Chicago's Magnificent Mile and has expanded its e-commerce channel to seven new markets including Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Austria.

President and CEO of the brand Dani Reiss (who is the grandson of its founder) said: "Opening our first European store is not only a milestone for Canada Goose, but it’s turning a dream into reality. London and Chicago are world-renowned shopping destinations and I’m proud to bring our Canadian heritage, experience and unparalleled product to their historic streets."

Reiss told London's Evening Standard that the British capital remained attractive despite Brexit. "I don't think Brexit has affected London's reputation. It's one of the most important cities for brands to be present in, in this global world," he said.
