Cambridge Satchel reunites with Wicked for new spellbinding collection
The witches are back, and so is Cambridge Satchel. The British leather goods brand has reunited with Universal Pictures for the sequel to its sell-out Wicked collaboration, this time inspired by the spellbinding finale Wicked: For Good, which lands in cinemas on 21 November.
Following the success of the first drop, this second chapter channels the spirit of Glinda and Elphaba through rich textures, whimsical detailing and a touch of Oz-worthy drama. It’s a collection made for those who prefer their handbags with a little magic (and maybe a hidden spellbook inside).
Elphaba
For the dark and defiant, Elphaba-inspired pieces return with fierce individuality. The star of the show, The Grimmerie Bag, nods to the enchanted book seen on screen. It's crafted in split leather with bold, blanket stitching and fern-like patterns that evoke her woodland lair. In addition, the Twist-Lock Pouch mirrors the witch’s raw power with asymmetrical details and deep, earthy tones.
Glinda
Prefer pink to green? This collection’s got you covered with Glindafied satchels galore. The brand’s signature Binocular Bag, which even made a cameo on Glinda’s arm in the first Wicked film, reappears in a new shade aptly dubbed Lovelier Lavender. Then there’s Glinda’s Bubble Bag, a joyful, iridescent showstopper designed to bring a little sparkle to even the greyest London morning.
The Emerald City and beyond
Rounding out the range, the Emerald City edit gives the brand’s classic silhouettes, such as The Mini Sophie, which has a shimmering dark-green makeover fit for a night out in Oz. Meanwhile, the Friendship Capsule symbolises the film’s heart, uniting Glinda’s pink and Elphaba’s green in harmonious colour-blocked designs.
The collection is available now, with prices ranging from £20 to £525.
