Burberry to move Knightsbridge flagship to No 1 Sloane Street

Burberry has announced plans to relocate from its existing Knightsbridge store into a new flagship at 1 Sloane Street, a move which is part of the first phase of The Knightsbridge Estate K1 development.

The 15,000 sq ft space is arranged over four floors and will replace the British luxury brand's existing Knightsbridge stores (it currently operates twin men's and women's shops on the nearby Brompton Road) when it is completed. It builds on the brand's relationship with property developer and asset manager Chelsfield following the development of Burberry's Bond Street store in 2005.

"We are delighted to once again be working with Burberry, one of the UK’s leading brands, in a partnership that will see the creation of an outstanding new store within The Knightsbridge Estate’s development on the corner of Sloane Street and Brompton Road. This builds on a long-standing association between the two companies and epitomizes the Chelsfield philosophy of establishing long-term relationships with exceptional and like-minded organisations” said Chelsfield chairman Elliott Bernerd.

The K1 development includes seven flagship retail spaces, office accommodation, 35 residential rental apartments and new garden space.
