Jeremy Lim
04 July 2022

Burberry has appointed Caroline Laurie as its new Vice-President for Corporate Responsibility.

In her new role, Laurie will be responsible for integrating the British House's sustainability incentives, targets and KPIs.

The former Kingfisher Director of Responsible Business and Sustainability led the DIY specialist's sustainability strategy for over eight years, and reported to the Group Director of Corporate Affairs. Laurie also held various roles at the retailer, which owns B&Q, Screwfix and Castorama, starting out as a buyer at B&Q and working her way up to business development manager.

Burberry will this year complete its first five-year corporate responsibility plan, which has seen the company reduce its market-based emissions by 92% since 2016.

In May, Burberry’s new CEO Jonathan Akeroyd announced the ban of using exotic leathers in future collections, and plans to conclude its first five-year corporate responsibility plan this year, which includes cutting its market-based emissions by 92% since 2016.
