Burberry among Brit brands launching ranges celebrating centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth
A raft of heritage British brands have launched capsule collections of clothing and accessories, as part of the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth and her “lasting fashion legacy”.
The late Queen was born on 21 April 1926 and died on 8 September 2022, and the brands are all current or past Royal Warrant Holders worn by Queen Elizabeth II throughout her life, including Burberry, Launer London, Kinloch Anderson, Corgi Socks, Dents, Floris and Fulton Umbrellas.

This week also marks the publication of Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style by Caroline de Guitaut, a book celebrating the late Queen’s fashion archive, which launches ahead of the Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style exhibition at The King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace - running from 10 April to 18 October 2026.
Burberry was worn by Queen Elizabeth II throughout her reign and was awarded a Royal Warrant by her in 1955. The Queen often chose Burberry for outdoor pursuits, and the new capsule collection - comprising a long gabardine car coat tailored in Yorkshire, a cashmere scarf woven in Scotland, a silk twill scarf with a hand-painted depiction of Balmoral Castle, and a gold-plated brooch in the shape of a corgi - draws inspiration from her wardrobe.
A new holly-green colourway of the Burberry house check has also been created especially for the capsule to honour Queen Elizabeth II, inspired by the Old Stewart Tartan, which she frequently wore, particularly when staying at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The tartan ties the new product ranges together, including as the pattern for Corgi Socks.

Burberry will also have a riding cape and silk scarf from the late Queen’s archive on show at the upcoming exhibition, which is set to feature around 200 items - the largest-ever selection exhibited from her wardrobe - half of which will be on display for the first time.
Launer London supplied the Queen with handmade handbags for more than 50 years and was granted a Royal Warrant in 1968. A black Traviata bag and green Judi bag, featuring tartan linings supplied by Kinloch Anderson, form another part of the centenary collection, reprising the trusted silhouettes that the Queen used for engagements throughout her reign. Three Launer London bags from the Queen’s personal collection will be on show as part of the exhibition.
Kinloch Anderson, the renowned Scottish experts in tartans, highland dress and kiltmaking, held Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Warrant of Appointment for tailoring and kiltmaking for the duration of her reign, reflecting an enduring tradition of craftsmanship, service and royal connection.
Kinloch Anderson will have a tartan skirt made for Queen Elizabeth II on show at the exhibition. Its centenary collection consists of a lambswool throw made in Scotland, a silk pocket square, and a silk tie, all in the Old Stewart Tartan.

There are also leather gloves in green or navy from Dents, another firm favourite of Queen Elizabeth II; a new clear birdcage-shaped umbrella with an Old Stewart Tartan trim from Fulton Umbrellas; as well as a new folding umbrella in the tartan pattern.
Additionally, there is a new scent from Floris - the only perfumer to hold a Royal Warrant from the Queen - which is a night-scented jasmine eau de toilette, presented in bespoke packaging decorated with the Old Stewart Tartan.
