Browns to launch exclusive “reworked” collection from Nudie Jeans

Browns is set to launch a collection of 16 unique pieces from Nudie Jeans in the Browns East store on 4 October, 2021.

It will feature 15 pairs of jeans and one jacket style, reworked exclusively for Browns, and produced by the Co-Founder and creative visionary of Nudie Jeans, Maria Erixon Levin.

The brand’s salvaged denim has been mended with indigo patches of vintage Japanese fabric, and each piece has been patched and repaired by hand, making them the perfect addition to the Browns ‘Conscious’ edit.

Although designed to be worn, they can also be displayed on the wall and “appreciated as pieces of art” with history and soul ingrained in the fabric.

Levin said: “There's something beautiful in mending them – improving them, making the imperfections part of something new.”

Nudie Jeans has been an industry leader in sustainable practices, as well as the go-to for ethically produced denim for the last 20 years. The Swedish brand not only produces all of its garments with certified organic cotton, but it offers free repairs to prolong the life of garments, reducing waste and decreasing unnecessary consumption of raw materials.

Last year, Nudie Jeans repaired over 46,000 pairs of jeans, saving approximately 321,000 tons of water.
