Luxury fashion retailer Browns has today launched its second phase of its "A Family Affair" content and community project, this time guest edited by the British Fashion Council (BFC), which aims to be "A Celebration of the Bonds that Matter".

This iteration of the bi-weekly narrative looks to celebrate the talent paving the way in British design, spotlighting 12 designers from the BFC NEWGEN initiative, of which Browns has been an ongoing supporter, and co-creating with this community to engage, inspire and harness originality.

Over the two-week period, Browns and BFC are working in collaboration with some of the best emerging talent from womenswear and menswear including Supriya Lele, Richard Quinn, Alighieri, Asai, EFTYCHIA, Halpern, Priya Ahluwalia, Paria Farzaneh, Nicholas Daley, Bethany Williams, Stefan Cooke and A* Cold Wall. All will be celebrated with commissioned content released via Brownsfashion.com and Browns social media platforms exploring their design, identity, inspiration and beyond.

Tyler Psarras, brand engagement director of Browns, says: “We have big love for next generation talent – it’s the foundation from which Browns was built on 50 years ago and it remains one of our core pillars to this day. And who better to partner with than the ultimate NEWGEN champions, the British Fashion Council.

“Our mission with ‘A Family Affair’ has been to spread positivity, promote connectivity and support our creative network – that is the essence of building our global community and we cannot wait to see what our very cool line-up of next gen talent will produce for series two.”

BFC chief executive, Caroline Rush, adds: “We are delighted to curate the next edition of ‘A Family Affair’ in partnership with Browns. Now, more than ever, collaboration is essential and we need to come together to support each other. I hope that this week’s content will bring a sense of community and engagement and look forward to discovering the stories and amazing creativity that the designers have to offer.”

Browns is also proud to support the BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for the Covid Crisis, a continuation of its ongoing commitment to British fashion and alongside this has pledged an additional 50% contribution to show unwavering support to the BFC and the next generation of designers.

"A Family Affair: A Celebration of the Bonds That Matter" guest edited by BFC will be live on Brownsfashion.com and across Browns channels from Thursday 30 April.
