Farfetch-owned luxury retailer Browns has made a number of appointments to its buying team and has said there would be more to follow.

Ida Petersson has been promoted to the role of buying director for womenswear and menswear and Dean Cook to the role of head of menswear buying.

The business said that both Petersson and Cook had overseen significant growth to their respective departments with womenswear having added a number of new generation brands across apparel and jewellery, while menswear had grown by 30%.

Holli Rogers, CEO of Browns and Chief Fashion Officer of Farfetch said: “Ida has done a stellar job since she joined the business more than two and a half years ago, developing a number of partnerships that have positioned Browns as an industry leader.

"Alongside this, Dean who was my first hire when joining Browns, continues to develop the menswear offering with his own personal style and has enabled significant growth across all categories. We are excited to share this news which reflects so positively on the growing business here at Browns.”

In addition Hollie Harding will step up to the role of womenswear buying manager of non-apparel and the business has said that further appointments will be announced shortly.
