British heritage corset brand Vollers relaunches
Vollers, which began handcrafting corsets in 1899, has announced its relaunch under new ownership for the first time in 125 years.
Founded by Harry and Nelly Voller in 1899, Vollers is one of the oldest corset manufacturers currently in existence. Passed on through the generations of the Voller family, the company evolved With the times. Did you know, that during the war, Vollers manufactured curtains to support the community and keep people employed?
With no heir apparent, in 2023 Rolf Hess and Sygnature Limited, part of the Hess Enterprises portfolio, purchased Vollers Corset company.
The brand unveiled its fresh new direction and four collections, including its first-ever lingerie range at the Wonderland trade show last weekend.
The new range comprises a selection of bras, briefs, bodysuits, and overbust and underbust corsets. It weaves together the threads of their history and 21st-century cutting-edge design.
With tailoring secrets handed through the company’s seamstresses over the past 125 years, the range is hand-made just as the first corset in the 19th century was made. Each piece is made-to-order, meaning there is no over-production and very little waste.
Jacqueline Kissenpfennig, Board Member at Hess Enterprises and Director of Sygnature & Vollers, said: “We are thrilled and beyond excited to be relaunching the iconic Vollers brand. With such a rich heritage we look forward to welcoming a modern customer into our Vollers family.
“It is incredibly important to us to continue the Vollers tradition of excellence and keep its history alive whilst evolving and embracing a new era. We understand that when what's underneath looks good, you feel good and empowered. And this is the power of Vollers.”
Sizes range from 22-36 inch corsets and bras range from 32-38 A-DD. Prices start from £80 and range to £315.
