British footwear distributor Gardiners enters European market with Dubois deal

Gardiners Group, the UK-based footwear distributor, has announced its acquisition of European counterpart Dubois in a move designed to accelerate its global growth.

The deal marks a significant step for Gardiners as it deepens its presence in Europe. While financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition unites two major players in the footwear distribution space.

Gardiners, which operates Gardiner Bros & Co. and safety footwear specialist Footsure Western, will now join forces with Brussels-based Dubois - known for distributing footwear and apparel brands including Sebago, Aigle, CAT Footwear, Dickies, Berghen, and Gant.

As part of the deal, Dubois will expand its brand portfolio to include Timberland Pro, Hard Yakka, Amblers Safety and Base London.
