Bridal brand Six Stories makes US debut amid soaring demand
Altrincham-based bridal and occasionwear brand Six Stories has launched in both Nordstrom and Macy’s, marking its first-ever US retail partnerships despite 25% of its business already coming from the US market.
The move is seen as a huge opportunity for growth for a brand that achieved £10 million in net revenue in 2024, with projections to reach £15 million in 2025.
The milestone follows a landmark period for Six Stories, which was recently recognised for the second consecutive year on The Sunday Times list of Britain’s 100 fastest-growing private companies – the first bridal brand ever to do so.
Launched in 2019 by husband and wife duo Lucy and Ross Menghini as a side project, the business now boasts a team of 35 at its Altrincham HQ.
Lucy Menghini said: "To watch our business grow from a side hustle to a £10 million+ brand has been incredible. Partnering with Nordstrom and Macy’s is a huge brand moment that will boost our presence in the US and bring our vision of global expansion to life.
"We want to take the stress and pressure out of bridal and occasionwear, making women feel confident, comfortable and true to themselves. Looking ahead, our focus is on expanding internationally, building a retail presence, exploring collaborations and growing categories that allow us to dress women for life’s biggest moments.
"We are a brand built on authenticity and we couldn’t have done this without our incredible team and the customers who are at the heart of everything we do."
Nordstrom and Macy’s are two of the most prominent and influential fashion retailers in the US and will offer Six Stories’ bridesmaid dresses, bridal and occasionwear, as well as exclusive online collaborations.
The launches give the brand exposure to a highly engaged American customer base and reinforce its international growth strategy. To celebrate, Six Stories will host a $1,000 gift voucher sweepstake for its US brides.
Further "prestigious" international stockists are to be announced later this year, including in Australia and the UAE.
Six Stories is also moving into THG’s next-generation fulfilment hub, giving the brand access to logistics, technology and global distribution – seen as a strategic leap designed to power its international ambitions.
