Bravissimo halts online orders following warehouse fire

British speciality lingerie and swimwear retailer Bravissimo has suspended all online and phone orders after a fire broke out at its UK warehouse last week.

The incident, which did not result in any injuries, has caused significant disruption to the company’s fulfilment operations, prompting the brand to pause all warehouse shipments until further notice. While Bravissimo’s 26 UK stores remain open and continue to serve customers in person, delays to new stock deliveries are expected.

In a message shared with customers and followers, Bravissimo took to social media writing: "We have unfortunately had a fire in our warehouse. Whilst it was extinguished quickly, the impact is very complex."

"This means that we cannot currently take any orders from our website or over the phone."

The retailer for "big boobed women" has assured customers that it is working swiftly to assess the damage, rebuild its warehouse capabilities, and restore normal services as soon as possible. However, it has not yet confirmed a timeline for the resumption of online operations.

Customers have responded with an outpouring of support, with many flocking to social media to express well-wishes and appreciation for Bravissimo’s transparency during the disruption. One commented: "Glad everyone is ok. That’s number one. So many of us love and rely on you and won’t be going anywhere! Good luck and solidarity."

In the meantime, the brand has encouraged customers to visit stores for fittings, purchases and support.

This news comes after Leanne Cahill, Bravissimo's CEO, stepped down. It followed the retailer's acquisition by Wacoal Europe, the company that owns brands including Freya, Fantasie and Elomi – all of which Bravissimo has been selling for many years.

Bravissimo, which has 26 stores in the UK and one in the US, and has 700 employees, has been owned by Sarah Tremellen and her husband since she founded the business from her living room in 1995.

Tremellen set up the company following her own frustrating attempts to find larger cup-sized bras. Bravissimo sells lingerie and swimwear in D cup and above and is "dedicated to inspiring its customers to feel amazing".
