Bound to open first-ever store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter
Menswear brand Bound will be opening its debut flagship store at 34-36 Thomas Street in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Saturday 13 June.
The 1,615 sq ft flagship will showcase the brand’s core collections within a clean, immersive environment designed to reflect its evolving identity.
Jake Messer founded Bound in 2018 in Manchester with the aim of bridging the gap between contemporary wear and streetwear. It has since become known for its casualwear offering, and perhaps most notably its knitwear pieces.
Messer has envisioned the new space as more than a traditional retail store, instead creating a community-focused destination where the brand can connect directly with its customers. The most recent product launch is the World Cup collection, inspired by the heritage and aesthetics of football.

Messer said: “I’ve always wanted to open a bricks-and-mortar store in our hometown of Manchester, a city that has given me so much. I’m excited to give something back to the city through a retail experience that feels unique to Bound and the community around it.”
The Thomas Street unit features a double-fronted storefront and retains a number of original architectural details dating back to the early 1900s, blending the character of the building with Bound’s contemporary aesthetic.
A store launch on Saturday will be supported by sponsorships from household names such as Estrella Damm, MOTH Cocktails and Living Things.
Bound also plans to collaborate with a range of local businesses as part of its ongoing commitment to championing and celebrating Manchester’s creative community.
