Kering has announced that Bartolomeo Rongone, Chief Executive Officer of Bottega Veneta, will leave the luxury group at the end of March 2026 to "pursue new professional opportunities".

Rongone has served as CEO of the Italian luxury house since 2020. During his six-year tenure, he oversaw a period of transformation and growth for Bottega Veneta, supporting the brand’s continued development within Kering’s portfolio.

Luca de Meo, Chief Executive Officer of Kering, said: "I would like to thank Leo Rongone for his leadership and for the significant contribution he has made to Bottega Veneta over the past six years.

"During his tenure, he achieved important milestones with his team and supported the continued development of the House. I wish him every success in his future professional endeavors."

Kering confirmed that the selection process for a new CEO is underway, with an appointment expected to be announced in the near future.

Founded in Vicenza in 1966, Bottega Veneta is one of Kering’s key luxury houses, known for its discreet approach to luxury and artisanal leather goods. Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and McQueen also sit within the Kering portfolio.

In October, the group reported a 10% fall in third-quarter revenue to €3.4 billion (£2.9 billion), as continued weakness at flagship brand Gucci, where sales plunged by 14%, weighed on group performance.

With no time to waste, the group is reshaping its long-term strategy and reshuffling its leadership team.
In September, Francesca Bellettini was named the new President and CEO of Gucci, replacing Stefano Cantino, who stepped down after less than a year in the role.

Kering also announced it was entering a long-term strategic partnership in luxury beauty and wellness with L’Oréal, including the creation of a joint venture in the wellness space.

Under the agreement - valued at €4 billion and expected to close in the first half of 2026 - L’Oréal will acquire Kering Beauté, including the House of Creed, a heritage fragrance brand renowned for its craftsmanship.
