Boohoo's Karen Millen expands into jewellery with Simon Harrison

Womenswear brand Karen Millen has signed a jewellery license with Simon Harrison, an established name in fashion jewellery known for creating "commercially successful jewellery collections".

Karen Millen OBE, best known for her classic womenswear sported by the likes of Hollywood star Emily Blunt and The Princess of Wales, founded her namesake label in 1981 at the age of 19, starting with just a modest loan of £100. Over 40 years on, after Boohoo acquired the brand in 2019, Karen Millen is entering the world of jewellery.

The new SS25 collection, which has just launched, will be stocked by high street havens Karen Millen, Debenhams and NEXT.

Contoured, curved shapes and faceted cut crystal stones unite to create a "compelling premium jewellery collection". Each piece is finished off with an engraving of the Karen Millen logo.

The affordable collection ranges from £35 for 14K gold-plated crystal studs to £85 for a chunk brass cuff.

Mark Barraclough, COO at Karen Millen, said: "It’s exciting for Karen Millen to be working alongside Simon Harrison, once again. This is another great step for the brand to further expand our offering to our customers."

Simon Harrison, who partners with retailers including Ted Baker, added: "We first started making jewellery for Karen Millen over twenty years ago. We are proud to once again work with this British heritage brand that stands for quality and value."

This is the second licensing deal for the brand, building on its successful partnership with Mondottica, which produces optical frames and sunglasses.
