Boohoo to offer investment to support a female-owned business

Fast fashion retailer Boohoo has announced it will be offering a female-owned business the chance to win £50,000 worth of marketing support.

The winning business will also receive business mentoring from Boohoo, along with a billboard placement funded by the fashion brand for a week.

The initiative commemorates International Women's Day on the 8 March, which celebrates the cultural, political and socioeconomic achievements of women around the world.

A spokesperson from Boohoo said: "Boohoo want to support emerging female business owners in realising their dreams and aspirations. As well as the prize money, we will be providing marketing masterclasses with some of the key players in the boohoo team including our Brand Director and Head of Marketing. We wanted to provide more than just a monetary opportunity, we want to help mentor and support business owners as well."

Entries close on 2 March, with the winner to be announced on 15 March.
