Debenhams looks set to make its hotly-anticipated comeback to bricks and mortar retailing with a new standalone beauty store set to open in Manchester later this year.

Online fashion retailer Boohoo, which acquired Debenhams in January, is currently recruiting Beauty Assistants for a new “Debenhams Beauty” store which will be based in Manchester – potentially within the Arndale Shopping Centre.

The post reads: “As a Beauty Assistant, you are an essential part of a team that delivers the extraordinary service our customers expect from Debenhams Beauty. Maintaining the highest of retail standards, keeping up to date on product knowledge and replenishing stock, customer service is at the heart of what you do. An expert for all things Debenhams Beauty and the go-to person to help our customers, you are fully knowledgeable of everything about the store including the latest trends and services we offer.”

Boohoo acquired the Debenhams brand and website after the historic departments store's liquidation at the start of the year for £55m.

Before its collapse, Debenhams had six million beauty shoppers and 1.4 million Beauty Club members.

Boohoo re-launched the Debenhams.com website with a beauty offer which currently includes an ever-growing range of more than fifty big-name beauty brands including Benefit, Lancôme, Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace.
