Boohoo acquires assets and IP of Miss Pap

Boohoo has confirmed the acquisition of the brand and intellectual property assets of women’s fast fashion e-tailer MissPap for an undisclosed sum.

John Lyttle, Chief Executive Officer of Boohoo Group, said: “MissPap is a brand with great potential which can leverage the Group's expertise. This acquisition further strengthens our multi brand platform, representing an exciting opportunity to accelerate our offering to our ever-growing range of customers globally.”

The addition of Miss Pap is the latest in a line of acquisitions for Boohoo. In early 2017, the group acquired PrettyLittleThing (which was founded by Boohoo co-founder Mahmud Kamani's sons Umar and Adam) and LA-based Nasty Gal to give it a foothold in the US. Today, the group sells to over 11m customer accounts across all its brands around the world.

Founded in 2015, MissPap has achieved strong recognition within its addressable markets having collaborated with influencers and reality stars who promote the brand across social channels. However it is understood that earlier this month it was seeking to appoint a liquidator after a resolution to wind it up was passed by shareholders.
