BFC shaves a day off next edition of London Fashion Week Men's

The British Fashion Council has shaved a day off the next edition of London Fashion Week Men's in January to allow more time between the holiday period and the start of the event.

AW18's event will begin a day later than usual on Saturday 6 January and will finish on Monday 8 January. The move was made following consultation with designers and international guests.

Running the event through Tuesday 9 January would not have been possible since global menswear trade fair Pitti Uomo in Florence begins on this day and ends on 12 January.

London Fashion Week Men's will return to a four-day event for its June 2018 edition which will run from 8-11 June.

The dates for the 2018 editions of London Fashion Week have also been announced and the events will run from 16-18 February and 14-18 September.

This SS18 edition of London Fashion Week will take place from 15-19 September this year and the provisional show schedule can be accessed here.

Highlights for this season include Tommy Hilfiger bringing his see now, buy now show TommyNow to London for the first time (Tuesday 19 September) and Emporio Armani's show on Sunday 17 September which has been scheduled to coincide with the opening of its revamped store on Bond Street.
