BFC names first jewellery designer to win Designer Fashion Fund
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced Bleue Burnham as the winner of the 2025 BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund, marking a historic first for a jewellery brand since the prize’s inception in 2013.
Burnham, who founded his eponymous fine jewellery brand in 2018, will receive a £100,000 cash prize alongside year-long business mentoring and pro-bono support, including legal services from Sheridans and systems support from Zedonk.
Known for its nature-inspired designs and refined craftsmanship, Bleue Burnham blends human culture with the natural world to create contemporary luxury pieces.
The designer had previously been shortlisted in both 2023 and 2024, with this year’s recognition cementing his rising star status in British fashion.
Laura Weir, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, said: "Bleue’s vision is bold and tender in equal measure and offers a fresh perspective on what modern jewellery design can be... a powerful recognition of craft, expression, and pioneering creativity."
Burnham added: "I am incredibly proud for Bleue Burnham to be this year’s BFC/GQ award winner and the first ever jewellery brand to win this award... We are super excited to use this support to build upon our current momentum and energise our plans for coming years."
The 2025 judging panel was co-chaired by Yvie Hutton, Director of Designer Relations & Membership at the BFC, and Adam Baidawi, with a panel of industry experts including British GQ editors and fashion experts.

This year’s shortlisted brands included Clothsurgeon, HARRI, LABRUM London and Saul Nash.
