Beyond Retro tunes in to festival fever with new rental service in collaboration with Loanhood

Vintage clothing and accessories retailer Beyond Retro is launching its first-ever rental service in partnership with fashion rental marketplace Loanhood, just in time for the festival season – with suitable outfits to “embrace your alter ego”.

A ‘festival edit’ launch event is taking place at Beyond Retro’s store at Coal Drops Yard in London on the evening of 13 June, and then fashion lovers can access the looks from 14 June by downloading the Loanhood app to make their selection.

There are 10 looks that have been curated by the Beyond Retro team and each are available to rent for one week at a time, with a rental price of £25 for a complete look.

Rare vintage pieces such as a silver sequinned body suit are included, and there’s also embellished shirts, tassel coats, leather jackets and waistcoats, sunglasses and hats.

Kate Peters, Retail Director at Beyond Retro, said: “Creating a more circular fashion landscape is at the heart of our Beyond Retro business and adding a rental option has been something we’ve been keen to trial for some time.

“We love the Loanhood approach, and the alignment between our values and the Gen Z part of our customer base made them the right partner for us to work with on this project.

“We chose festival season for the first collection because this broadens the options for those needing multiple festival looks throughout the summer but don't want to buy something for just one event. This allows them to buy into the fun and uniqueness of our hand-picked vintage collection.

“This exclusive proposition to rent an entire outfit styled by our in house Beyond Retro team is for a third of the price it would be to purchase, and as all of our stock are second-hand pieces we are able to put the items back in for sale at the end of their rental cycle.”
