Beyond Retro and Boutique by Shelter are partnering with King’s Cross to bring vintage skiwear to consumers this winter.

Upwards of 350 pieces of retro skiwear are on offer in a chalet-inspired space at Beyond Retro with prices starting from £27.95. In Boutique by Shelter, shoppers can discover a mini curation of the collection with prices starting from £7.00.

Pioneering sustainable fashion, the first-of-its-kind retro skiwear pop-up is open now until the end of February in both retail spaces in Coal Drops Yard.

Boutique by Shelter is a charity shop with a difference, offering a clever edit of on trend pieces, one-off vintage items, and designer fashion at affordable prices.

Annie Phillips, the London-based seamstress and 2022 Sewing Bee winner, has teamed up with the project to inspire shoppers with her edit of ‘must-have’ looks. Each look covers fashion picks from the 1940s the 1990s, featuring cosy knits, skisuit ensembles, accessories, retro eyewear, and more.

Phillips commented: “The slopes have always been a runway for people to show off their style, and what better way to kit yourself out for the 2023 season than taking inspiration from style icons of the past, from Princess Diana to Grace Kelly.

“I am over the moon to get to team up with King’s Cross, one of my all-time fav hangouts, and a total bonus to work with my ‘go-to’s for vintage to curate this edit of must-have looks for the ski season.”

When shoppers make a purchase from the House of Ski collection in Beyond Retro, a £1 donation can be made to homelessness charities Shelter and New Horizon Youth Centre at checkout.

Kate Peters, Managing Director at Beyond Retro, said: “We are beyond excited to be working with Kings Cross to showcase our amazing range of retro ski-wear pieces. We have hundreds of unique garments from every decade, all sustainably sourced and handpicked by our vintage experts.”

Tracey Morrison, Head of Retail at Boutique by Shelter, added: “Vintage skiwear is where it’s at this year. Classic styles that stand out from the crowd at prices that won’t break the bank. We’ve pulled together some great classic pieces from our network of London boutiques and will be releasing them into our Coal Drops Yard Boutique, during this amazing pop-up.”
