Ben Sherman launches Global Artist Foundry with Miles Kane

Ben Sherman has today launched its Global Artist Foundry, the brand’s new platform to promote multi-disciplinary talent and creativity across music, art and fashion, with musician Miles Kane as the inaugural ambassador for the new SS22 campaign.

Tapping in to the brands roots in music, the Ben Sherman Global Artist Foundry is a support system to help foster creativity for diverse talent at every level, from unsigned, to breakthrough and well-established talent. Using its global resources and expertise, Ben Sherman will “champion art for art’s sake”, working with talent through a variety of mediums.

Ben Sherman Creative Director, Mark Williams, said: “When the opportunity to feature Miles in the SS22 campaign arose, we jumped at the chance to work together. Miles Kane has always embodied the epitome of the brand - you can feel the passion in his music and see it in his attitude to life.

“For me, Miles has always been a rock ‘n’ roll style icon, and the fact that he has worn the brand for decades makes him a natural fit. He was terrific to work with, and we're proud to kick off 2022 with the Global Artist Foundry introducing Miles Kane. He looks phenomenal in every shot.”

Miles Kane commented: “I’ve loved this brand since I was a teenager when I became a Mod in my mid-teens. Ben Sherman was a go-to! Twenty years later, here I am, I can’t quite believe it.”

The new Ben Sherman initiative will include featuring talent in global advertising campaigns as well as special collaborative projects. Exclusive content will also be created, with filmed documentaries, metaverse collaborations and product collaborations benefitting artists and their fans.

While building awareness and devising new revenue channels for creatives keen to innovate without the financial risk, the Ben Sherman Global Artist Foundry will also “be a positive force for good”, giving back to charitable causes through key partnerships as they roll out through the year.

Tim Reid, Senior Vice President of Ben Sherman, added: “Music and fashion have gone hand-in-hand, coexisting and inspiring each other for decades. We felt it essential to create a meaningful platform and a global network to foster that creativity and develop great projects with artists.
