Belstaff launches Levison Fieldmaster jacket in partnership with explorer

Belstaff has just launched the Levison Fieldmaster jacket for SS19, in collaboration with explorer, author and photographer, Levison Wood.

To go with the launch there’s a social video #MyBelstaff, capturing Levison on his recent visit to Nepal to get an exclusive look into his work with the The Gurkha Welfare Trust. Levison talks about inspiring the next generation of explorers and what he’s learnt from his unique expeditions.

Wood, who helped to create the Fieldmaster jacket, says: “I’ve worn my Belstaff jacket in every kind of environment, from jungles to deserts to mountaintops. That’s what Belstaff has right – these jackets are durable and robust, and you can wear them anywhere. It’s a legacy I feel very proud to be involved with.”

The new jacket comes in a versatile, water-repellent cotton twill. Key features of the original style remain and are joined by a utility pocket, with pleating and stitch detailing, as well as storm-proof bellows pockets and an adjustable mandarin collar.

Wood has recently returned from his most challenging and dangerous expedition to date – a 5,000-mile circumnavigation of the Arabian Peninsula from Iraq to Lebanon. The exploration of this unchartered territory is documented in the "Arabia: A Journey Through the Heart of the Middle East" book, available now and a five-part documentary series, airing soon.
